Misbah Uz Zaman Asher

With 20+ years of journey through the digital, press and social media platforms of Pakistan has led Misbah to becoming a versatile individual in the field. With his expertise in public relations, communication & social media strategy, and content creation, Khan is adept at developing impactful campaigns that attract and engage audiences across platforms. Over his four-year tenure as a Press and Media Consultant for USAID/Pakistan, he not only led successful media consultations but also played a key role in content development, including notable projects such as the USAID-funded drama serial Sar-e-Rah, for which he was honored with an award in recognition of his dedicated efforts and unwavering support throughout the project. His work highlights a deep understanding of crafting strategic narratives and engaging content for development sector and international audiences.

As a Press & Media Consultant for USAID/Pakistan, he also provided impactful communication strategies, designed and executed press and media activities while advising on enhancing the organization’s social media content. His expertise covers traditional media relations and offering insights to create impactful content that engages diverse audiences while ensuring consistent, strategic messaging across platforms.

During his role as Head of Visual and Performing Art Department in Rawalpindi Arts Council, he taught film and documentary making, fiction and direction because of his profound knowledge and understanding.

Later, he chose broadcast journalism as his field which actually gives him this unique ability to work and understand both news and entertainment industry.

Designing shows like Capital Talk (Hamid Mir), Nadeem Malik Live, Off The Record (Kashif Abbasi) and G for Gharidah, required multiple skills in the field of News and Production, from social media handling of the show to print media reports on it. Interacting with and interviewing noted politicians and media personalities for the shows has created his strong grip within media circles to effectively generate media attention.

Developing strategies for media attraction and control has been a vital element in Khan’s experiences, from being constantly updated from the news room to monitoring the talk-show feed-backs, my strategic influence on my research and content writing led to shows to rise at the top charts within his tenure as senior producer.

Administratively, Khan’s tenure as Production Manager at Rohi TV has tuned his managerial skills to effectiveness, as the tasks varied between financial aspects involving budgeting to quality control of screen and synchronization between technical team, artists and administration. Designing all programs and looking after the efficiency of all tasks to be delivered within time along with Khan’s strong PR skills makes him an ideal entity when dealing with and organizing events and tours.

Currently, in his role as Strategic Communications Advisor for DOPASI Foundation, Misbah leads the organization’s strategic communications, media relations, visibility, advocacy, and public outreach efforts. He has designed and executed major public awareness and behaviour change communication campaigns, including World Immunization Week 2025 & 2026 and the HPV Vaccination Awareness Campaign in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). His responsibilities include communication strategy development, media engagement, social media oversight, stakeholder outreach, content planning, and strengthening the organization’s public profile. Under his leadership, DOPASI’s digital presence has experienced significant growth through the development of engaging, audience-focused content and strategic social media initiatives.

His achievements include organizing key events like the press conference for USAID Administrator Samantha Power, planning and executing media tour for Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman and leading international corporate events like HEC’s Investor Connect Event 2025. He has also designed and led multiple public service campaigns to raise awareness and media presence for his clients, featuring renowned personalities like Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afridi. He has worked on multiple projects focusing key areas like highlighting U.S.-Pakistan Green Alliance framework through different proposed platforms e.g. PSM, song etc.

Khan’s expertise extends beyond communications, content production, encompassing event management, strategic media planning, social media management and building strong relationships within the media industry.
